This valve kit includes the 4000PSI at 18GPM valves, o-rings, and seals, which is why it’s commonly referred to as a “complete rebuild” of the pump. This kit is usually required when:
- Pump is leaking behind the two manifold heads, or between manifold heads, or at the bolts
- Pump is cavitating
Anticipate needing one of these kits when the pump is leaking and the machine is around 800-1000 hours. Don’t replace if pump if isn’t leaking. This step should be taken before a complete manifold set (pump heads) rebuild is necessary.

No, it’s possible if your pump is leaking at the plugs at the base of the manifold heads that the plug just need to be replaced. There are 3 types of plugs used in 4018 pump heads.
Hex head – has an o-ring J-002-1000-S
Allen head – has an o-ring J-002-1000
Square head – J-009-01

No, only replace the valve kit if your pump is leaking AND at that age.
No, if your sewer jetting machine is less than 800 hours and is leaking water, it’s possible just a O-Ring Kit J-002-978-2002 (for machines built post 2002) will resolve the leak.
Possibly, because the valve kit includes a seal kit which is used where the oil could be leaking. However, contact your US Jetting representative to determine if this solution is applicable for your specific leaking problem.
