TIGER TAIL HOSE PROTECTOR is a simple device that provides maximum abrasion protection for high pressure jetting hoses. They are a crucial accessory for all jetting machines as they are designed to protect the high pressure hose as it enters a pipe or drain. By running the high pressure hose through the tiger tail as it enters the pipe, it creates a barrier between the pipe edge and the expensive jetting hose, therefore saving the jetting hose from unnecessary and damaging wear and tear.
All Tiger Tail Hose Protectors are 36” long & have 20’ of polyethylene tie-off rope. They are available in 1 ½”, 2”, and 3” diameters.
Tiger tails are made from a rugged polyethylene copolymer hose reinforced with an integral polyethylene helix. They can be used in temperatures ranging from -40 – 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
To use, simply run your hose through the tiger tail, and tie the tiger tail with its cord to the boat hooks on the back of your jetting machine. By tying the tiger tail to the sewer jetter machine, it secures the tiger tail so it can’t get loose and go into the pipe. Then put the high pressure jetting hose through the tiger tail and ensure it is positioned so the tiger tail is between the edge of the pipe and your jetter hose.
